ABOUT

18-year-old Producer and DJ, Prince Nasir Dean aka Marcato, is one of the most exciting young prospects in the music industry. As the son of Grammy Award Winner Swizz Beatz, Nasir was exposed to an eclectic range of music from an early age and began producing his own music when he was 13 years old.

Nasir has already achieved several career milestones. He produced his first hit on IDK’s latest single, “Star,” and landed an “Artist and Production” deal with Epic Records, all within a few months. Last summer, Nasir spent time in Atlanta to develop his music with several of the biggest names in the industry such as Lil Yachty, Trippie Redd, Rick Ross, Kodi Shane, Alicia Keys and more. Most recently, Nasir exhibited his love for music by DJ’ing for Burberry x The Webster collaboration and also in Miami Design District for Fendi’s newest collection launch.

Nasir’s success isn’t just relegated to music, he is represented by Next Models Worldwide and Kadupul Management and just recently walked for Virgil Abloh in Paris Fashion Week 2019. He also walked for FaithConnexxion Men’s/Woman’s Fall line by Maria Buccellati and new designer Nikola Vasari. In the recent months, Nasir posed in ad campaigns for Tommy Hilfiger, Louis Vuitton Magazine, Wall Street Journal Magazine, and Faithconnexion.

Music and fashion aren’t Nasir’s only pursuits. He is committed to community service and kicked off 2019 by announcing the inception of his non-profit program the Re-Drum Tech/Art Initiative. The program is dedicated to providing technology, instruction, and opportunity to students from historically underprivileged areas. His empathy for others compelled him to create a transformative experience for the youth in his generation.

He is currently bi-coastal, based out of Miami, Florida & New York City. In December 2018, Nasir was accepted to matriculate to New York University’s Tisch School of Arts and was admitted to NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, a highly selective program with a class size of only 60 students.
